The CERI Executive
Committee has concluded the following for the 6th CERI Meeting - Research
Retreat 2006:
1) The retreat
will be held in Toronto (actually Markham) at the Hilton
Suites where we have managed to obtain a very good price. The dates are Sept.
29, 30, and Oct.1, 2006.
2) The program
committee will be chaired by Mac Burnham and the local arrangements will be
coordinated by Peter Carlen's secretary, Shelley Goodman, who can be reached at
416-6035017 or at Shelley.Goodman@uhn.on.ca.
3) We strongly
encourage our membership to play an active role in developing the program since
it is your meeting.
a) Your suggestions should be placed on our web site using Contact us form on the home page. Select the Topic Suggestions for CERI Meeting 2006 in order to distribute the note to the right people.
- You do not need
to log in order to submit your suggestions but it is preferable that you do in order have your name automatically recorded.
b) A reminder of
each person's user name and code will be sent out with instructions how to use
the interactive Discussion Forum (in your Personal site).
c) If you are really unable to
use the website to provide suggestion, we agreed, reluctantly, that an email
could be sent to Mac Burnham at mac.burnham@utoronto.ca.
d) We hope to obtain your input within 4 - 6 weeks so as to begin structuring the meeting.
4) We must try
to raise funds from medical device or drug companies and from CIHR.
We will assemble
and discuss all your ideas (best via the website) and then finalize our program
at the CERI meeting during the CCNS meeting in Montreal in June.
