CERI RETREAT 2005 SUGGESTION FOR THE T&T PRESENTATIONS
1) The major goal of these presentations is to communicate issues of general importance to the community: identify the problems, propose a range of solutions / approaches to these problems, and plans for potential collaborative research activities (e.g. workshops, conferences) and grants.
2) The Team Animators should coordinate the presentations with the team and make sure that they are kept within the allotted time (e.g., each presenter should prepare minimal but sufficient number of well structured slides covering the area without major overlaps).
3) The time allotted for each T&T should be split between the presentations of the issues and a discussion period which will involve all participants. For example if 90 min are allotted (see the program details), it could permit presenters about 10 min each to present key issues with lots of time for total group input and discussion both during and after the brief presentations.
4) It is suggested that each T&T hands out an outline and slides of their session - in advance, to facilitate discussion and participation of all members in the audience.
5) Teams should be ready to meet and incorporate the results of discussion for a final 10 min presentation at the Wrap-up session on Sunday.
